How to add a banner to Wide Lines
Previous Entry Next Entry

1. Log in and go to your customize journal page.
2. Click "Add customizations" or "Edit customizations".
3. Select the "Banner" tab at the top of the customizations page.
4. Under "URL of image to use as banner", select "Override default" and enter the URL of your banner image in the text box which appears. The banner image must be hosted on a website which allows remote linking from livejournal.com.
5. By default, your journal title is suppressed when you are using a banner. To show the title of your journal below your banner, select "No" under "Do not show the title on pages with a banner".
6. By default, your banner shows on your recent entries page and not on other pages of your journal. The last four customization options control this behavior.
7. Click the "Save" button at the bottom of the page when finished. Your customizations are not applied to your journal until this button is clicked.
